ARU TV - is an independent TV company, established for popularization of liberal values and European image in post Soviet countries and especially in Russia and Belarus aiming as well dispel the myth that Russia and Belarus are countries where the population is inactive and not ready for democracy.
 
ARU TV is a registered European mass media which expands the amount and quality of uncensored information in post Soviet countries experiencing problems with freedom of speech and human rights.
 
ARU TV consists of a number of professional directors, editors, journalists, camera men and people of other creative professions including modern internet technologies. We co-operate with gifted young people from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia and also young men from Diasporas of these countries in Europe and the US in order not only to produce a diverse media product, but also to broaden the circle of like-minded people.
 
ARU TV is represented by people of different nationalities, religious views and races united with one goal—which is to make our countries more open for liberalism and democracy, market economy, where civil society would be able to efficiently control state institutions in the sphere of compliance with general human rights and freedoms of its citizens.

What is Aru-TV and what is it for?
www.aru.tv is the first internet-TV for Belarus and Russia. It’s a new and independent view on what is going on. It is about timely TV programs with famous journalists, politicians, writers, psychologists, and artists. It is an open space for everyone to speak up or find soul mates.

What does “Aru” mean?
Aru (the stress is on the first syllable) is a word in Estonian language meaning reason, sense, and mind. Aru-TV is a smart TV for smart, active people who have their own view on the world.

No, we are not Estonians. It is just that our editorial staff is located in Tallinn. Estonia is a country where cutting-edge internet technologies are in most active development, and we want Aru-TV to provide its viewers with only the best.
